University of Southern Denmark offering PhD Fellowship American Scholarship University


The PhD fellow American Scholarship University will work in the interdisciplinary research field of Environmental engineering, Life Cycle Assessment, product design and resource management.

The fellowship American Scholarship University is funded by and part of the large research program called TOPWASTE, financed by the Danish Council for Strategic Research, see the description of the program below, called TOPWASTE. This fellowship is part of Work Package 2 of this program. Further, the fellowship will be established within the research training program ‘Energy and Environmentally Efficient Technologies’ at the Faculty of Engineering at University of Southern Denmark, see link below, called EMT. Finally, the fellowship will be enrolled in the ph.d. research school called 3R, Residual Resources Research, see link below, called 3R. These American Scholarship University multiple affiliations and networks of research will ensure a high degree of national and international co-operation with other researchers in the field.

Postgraduate American Scholarship University


This American Scholarship University is funded by a Cancer Institute NSW fellowship grant and will provide support for 3 years on a full-time basis for a research project leading to a PhD in cancer epidemiology. The American Scholarship University candidate will be based with the Cancer Epidemiology and Services Research group, Sydney School of Public Health, supervised by Dr Anne Cust. The specific PhD research program will be developed within the broad area of the epidemiology of gynaecological cancers, and developed also on the candidate’s own background and research interests.

Eligibility:
American Scholarship University Applicants should have postgraduate training in epidemiology or biostatistics. Alternatively, we will consider candidates with an Honours 1 degree in a relevant discipline and with a strong interest in quantitative research. American Scholarship University Experience in cancer or clinical research would be advantageous but not essential. Applicants must be Australian citizens, Australian permanent residents or New Zealand citizens, and must be eligible to successfully enrol in a PhD at the University of Sydney.

Amount Awarded:
The American Scholarship University is valued at $ 22,860 per annum (tax exempt; equivalent to NHMRC standard stipend), indexed annually and may be renewed for up to three years, subject to satisfactory progress. A maintenance allowance of $ 1500 per year will be available for the purchase of consumables relevant to the Scholarship or attending appropriate courses. Conference travel up to $ 2000 per year will be available to be used towards presenting at relevant conferences. It is expected that the student will apply for a scholarship from competitive sources (e.g., NHMRC, Cancer Institute NSW) following receipt of which, we will offer a top-up of $ 6000/year.
